Best Meditation and Breathwork Apps:

Although I have practiced meditation and breathwork for a long time, I do need some help and guidance on some days when my mind is very busy, and a little monkey in my head is very active.

1. OPEN:BREATHWORK + MEDITATION

What does it do?

Onen app is a cool health app that offers a mix of meditation, breathwork sound, and movement, including Pilates, yoga, and stretching.

The app’s interface is very beautiful and has a lot of variety. A unique feature that I love is a little quote to finish each practice that gives you another boost of positivity.

How much does It cost?

£134.99 a year or £19.49 monthly. The Open app does have free trials and promotions. I first started with a month of free before signing up.

Pros
  • There is a wide range of content from different instructors that gives a lot of choice for any mood or need, whether meditation or movement.
  • Great community feature where you can see all users’ active
  • Each day, new suggestions to meditate, breathe, move, and listen to the sound
Cons
  • It’s quite pricey, but because this app offers a lot of features, I think it is worth it.
  • Some users experience dificulties with subscription payments

2. BALANCE: MEDITATION AND SLEEP

What does it do?

It is a personalised meditation app that focuses on your specific needs. It teaches different meditation techniques to help you find the right one.

How much does It cost?

It offers a year free trial with a suggestion to contribute up to $69.99. After a year, you can pay $11.99 a month, &69.99 a year, or a one-off fee for the rest of your life if I’m $399.99

Pros
  •  I enjoy learning new techniques and that it is personalised.
Cons
  • Sometimes, I just want to get into the meditation, and I find the intros quite long and sometimes unnecessary. I also find that there are too many questions you need to answer before getting into the meditation.

Best Nutrition Apps for women:

1. DR. GREGER’S DAILY DOZEN

What does it do?

It is the most simple and fun health app you will ever use. It is not about calorie counting but tracking small changes in your diet that make a big difference. It is a healthy habit daily tick list.

I recommend familiarising yourself with Dr. Greger by reading his books before using this app. It will all make way more sense. I love Dr. Greger, and this app is a beautiful gift from him and his team.

How much does It cost?

Free and ads-free!

Pros
  • It is very quick and easy to use
Cons
  • The Daily Dozen part of the app is easier to follow than the 21 tweaks for weight loss. Some weight loss tips, like weighing yourself twice a day or sleeping four hours a night at a slight angle with your head tilted down, are not very practical.
  • There are minor bugs, like the date not changing, but it is a free app, so I should not complain about it 🙂

This awesome health app is my new discovery. I was familiar with Deliciously Ella but had never tried her app before, and now I use it almost every day. It offers recipes, exercise, and meditation, including breathwork, from different instructors, including Ella herself.

You can find hundreds of plant-based recipes, read blogs by guest nutritionists and dieticians, and find a lot of quick exercises and mindfulness practises all in one app.

Pros
  • Very clean, editorial-looking interface
  • There are a lot of choices
  • I love my favourite feature
  • It also includes some exercises and mindfulness practices
Cons
  • I can’t find any; well done, Ella, it’s a cool health app!

The best Fitness Apps for women

1. BOHO BEAUTIFUL OFFICIAL

What does it do?

Boho Beautiful is a health app that focuses on yoga, fitness, pilates, and meditation. It was created by Juliana and Mark, a husband-and-wife duo. There is a massive array of classes that you can choose from. I love that you can select by the body part you want to train, by interest, and also by the amount of time you want to dedicate. The brand keeps on growing, and you can find more terchers that have joined their team recently.

How much does the app cost?

The app offers a 14-day trial, which is $11.99 a month with occasional offers.

Pros
  • I love their monthly challenges, which are especially helpful at the beginning of the year.
  • Yuliana and other teachers have a calming aura that makes yoga practises very peaceful.
  • You can find different kinds of yoga, pilates, and meditation
  • Juliana and Mark always check in with their users and have amazing ways to make you feel a part of a beautiful community.

2. WHOOP

What does it do?

Whoop is a wearable band that turns comprehensive health insights intodaily actions. The reason I love Whoop for women’s health is the ability to track your cycle and adjust your training and recovery accordingly.

How much does the app cost?

A yearly subscription to the Whoop band and app starts from $149 a year, with the most expensive option taking you up to $359 a year.

Pros
  • It helps to track everything from steps, workouts, sleep, and even blood work, all in one app
  • Whoop Band does not have a screen, which a lot of people, including me, love, as it is not distracting.
Cons
  • Expensive
  • Some people might find all the data stressful and too much

I have used Whoop for over a year and also upgraded it from the 4.0 band to the 5.0 band. I have written two very detailed reviews that you might like to read if you are thinking about Whoop or any other health wearables.

Best food and beauty product scanning apps:

YUKA

yuka health app

What does it do?

You can scan your cosmetics and food, giving the products a score. It is great to quickly see a bad or good score and explain the ingredients. I like it more for cosmetics, as there are so many ingredients that sometimes it is hard to know what is good and bad. I think every woman should have this app to help choose better products.

How much does it cost?

You can scan products for free, but to look them up, you must pay a small yearly fee, starting from £8.99.

Pros
  • I love that it is for food and cosmetics
  • I was surprised at how extensive the product list is. I have products like hair shampoo soap or organic food from Spain, which are all listed. Even a hair conditioner from a hair salon was listed.
  •  I love that they suggest healthier alternatives to the poor-scoring products
Cons
  • Sometimes, food is scored not accurately; for example, olives scored poorly because of salt and saturated fat.
  • Some food suggestions are random. Taco shells were stored low, so I had a Spanish omelette or scrambled eggs in a bottle as a better suggestion.
  • It would be great to have a categories feature where you could browse and discover new products.

To summarise,

There are thousands of wellness apps for women on the App Store and Google Play, but I try to avoid apps that count calories or make you focus on your weight rather than fitness and mental well-being. I plan to extend this list of the best wellness apps for women in 2026, so if you have any great apps that you use, let me know in the commets and I will add them to the list.
