Best Meditation Music For Sleep and Relaxation

This meditation music is perfect if you’re settling in for a longer session and want something that helps you go even deeper. I personally love using this video when I set aside a few hours to meditate on the weekends. It’s also a great pick-me-up if you’re feeling a bit down and need a boost of positivity. Just scroll through the comments, you’ll be uplifted by the kindness and encouragement there.

Best Nature Sounds For Meditation

Research shows that listening to nature sounds can lower stress hormones like cortisol and make us more comfortable and calm. This list includes sounds of natural environments like ocean waves, rain, forests, and bird song to relax your mind. Some meditations will consist of music and sounds, some just calming nature sounds.

Meditate To The Sounds of Nature

A very beautiful curated list of meditation nature sounds with background music. From the sound of running water, rain, to birds chirping, this playlist will help you relax and take you deeper into your practice.

Best Mantra-Based Meditation Music

This category includes meditations that use vocal sounds or repeated words-  mantras or chants, to help focus the mind. We’ve grouped mantra-based practices from various traditions together, since they all share the common element of repeated sound.

Chanting Mantras

This is my favourite meditation and relaxation playlist that I have personally listened to for a very long time. I love putting it on when I am in a shavasana pose after yoga or just want a light and uplifting meditation that will make me feel  love and kindness.

Samma Arahang Mantra For Deep Meditation

“Samma Arahang” is a meditation mantra, particularly in the Dhammakaya tradition, meaning “the right way to achieve enlightenment” or “a pure state of mind achieved properly”. “Samma Arahang” mantra is very special for me, as I learned it at the Pa Pae Meditation Retreat in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

I like to use this mantra in walking meditation, and it has become a second nature, but when my mind is wandering too much, I play this video to refocus my attention to meditation.

OM Chanting Ancient Vedic Mantra to Calm the Mind and Awaken Inner Peace

OM is probably the most well-known mantra in the West. We normally start and finish our yoga practices with 3 OMS. The OM written form is the most important symbol in the Hindu religion. It is the essence of the supreme Absolute, consciousness, and is very powerful as a mantra. It is also a great way to start getting used to longer mantras.

Om Gam Ganapataye Namaha

I can promise you that this mantra song is accompanied by a handpan drum, is the most beautiful sound you will ever hear. This meditation music is such a great way to meditate for an hour and fill your heart with feelings of kindness and happiness.

Repeat the Mantra Chant “Om Gam Ganapataye Namaha” slowly and clearly, allowing the words to sink in.

This mantra is used to invoke the energy of Lord Ganesha to remove obstacles and bring success in the future.

HeartSutra Kanho Yakushiji - Japaneze Zen Music, one hour meditaion

Kanho Yakushiji is a Zen Buddhist monk and musician.  In addition to his role as a monk, he has been actively creating music since 2017, producing the Heart Sutra Music series, which combines traditional chanting of Buddhist sutras such as the Heart Sutra with modern musical arrangements. I love this meditation music if i am feeling down and want to open my heart.

Best Meditation Music For Healing (Sound Baths and Healing Instruments)

This category includes the use of resonant instruments like Tibetan singing bowls, crystal singing bowls, gongs, tuning forks, chimes, handpan drums, and other instruments to create a “bath” of sound that you can meditate in.

This meditation music list is something that my yoga and meditation teachers recommend and have curated through many years of meditation. As we are all different, it is important to find something that resonates with you and your specific needs at that moment.
